Skylena is a booking and dispatch desk for airport transfers in the Cleveland area. It is operated by Skylena Dispatch LLC, an Ohio limited liability company, from an office on East 9th Street downtown.
The model is simple and it is stated the same way everywhere on this site: we take the request, check availability, quote it, and place the job with a licensed local operator. The vehicle, the driver and the operating authority belong to that operator. We are the desk in between.
Why a desk and not a fleet
Because the two jobs are different, and doing the second badly is how small transport companies fail.
Running vehicles means capital, maintenance, driver employment, insurance and regulatory compliance that scales with the number of cars. Running a desk means knowing the roads, knowing which operator is reliable at five in the morning in February, and being reachable when a flight moves.
There are already good operators in this region who do the first job properly. What passengers struggle to find is somebody who will answer the telephone, understand the actual job, and put it with the right one. That is the gap this desk works in.
What that means for you, concretely
- The person you speak to is not the person who drives. Both are named to you before the run.
- The operating authority, the insurance and the vehicle inspection belong to the operator. We do
not hold them and we do not claim them.
- If something goes wrong on the road, the operator is responsible for it. We will help you reach
the right people, and we will stop placing work with an operator who lets passengers down.
- No payment passes through us. You pay the operator directly.
Who runs it
Dana Oravec, who founded the company in 2023 after several years arranging ground transport for inbound corporate visitors in north east Ohio. The desk is small on purpose: one person who knows the operators personally answers more usefully than a call centre reading from a script.
There is no photograph on this page and no invented team of smiling stock people. The company is what it says it is.
Why the company is called something else
The publication and the company differ, and it is deliberate.
The masthead is Skylena. The company is Skylena Dispatch LLC. Before the name was used it was searched: there are unrelated businesses using the word Skylena outside the United States, including one in freight forwarding, and using the bare word as a company name in a transport context would have invited confusion with them. Adding Dispatch describes what the company actually does and keeps the two apart in any document where both appear.

One field is missing from that table on purpose: the state charter number. Ohio hands those out in an unbroken sequence, which means every number that looks convincing already sits against somebody else's business. Publishing a made up one would quietly borrow their identity. Naming the office that filed it, the day it was filed, the federal tax ID and the agent pins the company down without borrowing anything from anyone.
What this company does not claim
Set out plainly, because the absence of a claim is as much a fact as its presence.
- No passenger carrier licence. Skylena Dispatch LLC does not hold operating authority to carry
passengers, and no licence, USDOT, MC or insurance number appears anywhere on this site, including as an example. The operators carrying the rides hold their own.
- No fleet. We do not own or lease vehicles and do not employ drivers.
- No overnight line. The desk answers during the hours printed above and says so plainly rather
than implying wider cover.
- No affiliation. No airline, hotel chain, government agency or transport brand endorses,
sponsors or directs this company, and none is named on this site.
- No reviews on this site. There is no ratings block, because there are not yet enough genuine
ones to publish. An empty section is more honest than an invented one, and if that changes the section will appear with real names attached.
