Questions
Questions about booking a transfer with Skylena
Twelve answers, including the ones about licences, hours and money that most sites leave vague.
The questions below are the ones the desk actually gets, in the order they arrive. Where an answer is about money, hours or responsibility, it is written plainly rather than softened.
Twelve questions the desk actually gets
What exactly is Skylena?
A booking and dispatch desk for airport transfers in the Cleveland area. We take your request, check availability with local operators, quote the run and place the job. The ride itself is carried out by a licensed local operator, not by us. We do not own vehicles and do not employ drivers.
So who actually drives me?
A driver working for the licensed operator we place your job with. Their name and vehicle are given to you before the run, and they contact you directly on the day. The operating authority, the insurance and the vehicle inspection are theirs, and this is stated the same way on the about page.
Does Skylena hold a transport licence of its own?
Skylena Dispatch LLC is a registered Ohio company, and its company record is published in full on the about page. It does not hold passenger carrier operating authority, and no licence, USDOT, MC or insurance number appears anywhere on this site. The operators carrying the rides hold their own credentials. Any site in this business that shows you a licence number should be one you can verify in a public database in under a minute, and this site does not ask you to take one on trust because it does not print one.
How much does a transfer cost?
Starting rates by vehicle class are published on the pricing page, beginning at fifty two dollars for a sedan between Cleveland Hopkins and downtown. That is a starting point rather than a fixed promise: distance, time of day, waiting, tolls and vehicle class all move it. The final number is confirmed with you by telephone before anything is booked.
Is the quote free?
Yes, genuinely. Asking costs nothing, commits you to nothing, and there is no follow up sequence if you decide against it. Send the details through the booking page or call the desk and get a number over the telephone.
Can a quoted price change?
It can, and this site will not pretend otherwise. Waiting beyond the included grace period, airport parking if you asked the driver to meet you inside, tolls, extra stops and late night hours are all named in your quote before you agree. What should not happen is a charge appearing that was never mentioned and that you did not cause on the day. If that happens, tell the desk.
Do you answer the telephone at any hour?
No. The desk answers Monday through Saturday, 7:00 am to 7:00 pm Eastern Time. Those hours are printed on every page of this site. If you have an existing booking and something changes overnight, the operator carrying your ride is the faster contact, and their details are in your confirmation.
Can I book a pick up for tomorrow at five in the morning?
Yes, if you arrange it the day before. Early runs are staffed deliberately by operators and cannot reliably be arranged overnight, so a request arriving at midnight for a 4:30 am pick up will often come back as a no. Booked in advance, early starts are entirely routine and are the most common winter run this desk handles.
What happens if my flight is late?
Give us the flight number when you book. The operator tracks the actual landing time rather than the schedule, so a delayed arrival moves the pick up instead of losing it. A grace period after landing is included: 45 minutes on domestic arrivals and 60 on international ones.
How do I pay, and do you take a card on this site?
No payment is taken on this site and no card details are collected here. There is no checkout anywhere on it. You pay the operator carrying the ride, by the method they accept, and the desk tells you which applies before you confirm.
What if I need to cancel or change?
The notice periods and what happens to an already dispatched vehicle are set out on the cancellation policy page. It is short and worth reading before you book rather than after. Changes made with reasonable notice are usually straightforward; the honest part is that a vehicle already on its way to you is a cost somebody has to carry.
Why are there no reviews or star ratings on this site?
Because there are not yet enough genuine ones to publish. Manufacturing a set, or promoting three friendly emails into a wall of five star cards, is both dishonest and trivially easy for anyone to spot. When there are real ones with real names attached, the section will appear.
Ready when you are
Send the details and we come back with available options and a rate. The quote is free and carries no obligation. Nothing is booked until you say so on the phone.
