Terms of use, and who is responsible for what
Three parties are involved in every ride. This page says which one does what, and where each one's responsibility ends.
Effective August 4, 2026. Using this site or asking this desk for a quote means accepting what is below. It is written around the three parties involved rather than as a numbered list, because knowing who is responsible for what is the only part of a document like this that matters when something goes wrong.
The three parties
You, the passenger or the person arranging the ride.
Skylena, meaning Skylena Dispatch LLC, an Ohio limited liability company. A booking and dispatch desk. It takes requests, checks availability, quotes runs and places jobs.
The operator, an independent licensed transport company that actually carries the ride, with its own vehicles, drivers, operating authority and insurance.
Everything below follows from that split.
What Skylena does
Takes your request, checks availability with operators, gives you a quote, and places the confirmed job with an operator together with your pick up instructions. Stays reachable during desk hours if the plan changes.
Skylena does not carry passengers, own vehicles, employ drivers or hold passenger carrier operating authority. It does not take payment on this site and holds no card details.
What the operator does
Provides the vehicle and the driver, holds the licence, the insurance and the vehicle inspections, and carries out the ride. Sets and collects the fare, including any charge for waiting, tolls, parking or late cancellation.
The transport contract is between you and the operator. Skylena is not a party to it. That is not a disclaimer written to shed responsibility, it is an accurate description of who has your booking.
What you agree to
- Give accurate details, especially passenger and bag counts, the pick up address and the flight
number. A vehicle that cannot take your luggage is the commonest avoidable failure and it starts here.
- Be at the pick up point at the agreed time, and reachable on the number you gave.
- Tell the desk as early as you reasonably can if plans change, under the
- Treat the driver and the vehicle decently. Operators may refuse or end a ride where a passenger is
abusive, unsafe or unable to travel safely, and the fare may still be due.
- Request child seats in advance. They cannot be added at the kerb.
How money works
No payment is taken on this site. There is no checkout, no card form and no stored payment method anywhere on it.
Quotes are free and carry no obligation. A quote is an estimate for the run described, and the things that can change it, waiting, tolls, parking, extra stops and late hours, are named to you before you confirm. You pay the operator directly by the method they accept.
Because nothing is sold to you by Skylena, the sections a shop would carry are addressed here rather than left as gaps: there are no deliveries or shipping, because nothing physical is supplied; no returns, because nothing is bought; and refunds are a matter for the operator that took the money, with the position set out on the cancellation page.
Limits of responsibility
Skylena takes reasonable care choosing operators and passing on your requirements accurately, and will stop placing work with an operator who lets passengers down.
What Skylena cannot be responsible for is the conduct of the ride itself: driving, vehicle condition, the driver's behaviour, delays on the road, or loss of or damage to property in the vehicle. Those sit with the operator, who is insured for them.
To the extent the law allows, Skylena Dispatch LLC is not liable for indirect or consequential losses, including a missed flight, a missed connection or a missed meeting. Its total liability for any claim connected with a booking is limited to the amount of the fare for the run in question. None of the above touches liability that the law refuses to let anyone cap: fraud, and death or injury arising from negligence, remain exactly where the law puts them. Several states restrict exclusions of this kind, and where yours does, its rule wins over this paragraph.
Using the site itself
Read it freely, no account needed. Do not attempt to break into it, overload it, scrape it at a volume that degrades it, or use its forms for bulk or automated messages. Text and images on this site belong to Skylena Dispatch LLC; short quotations with a credit and a link are welcome, and anything more needs permission first.
Reporting a genuine security weakness is welcome and should go to keeper@skylena.com.
Which law applies
Ohio law governs this agreement, and conflict of laws principles are set aside. Proceedings belong in the state or federal courts sitting in Cuyahoga County, and both parties agree to appear there.
Court is a poor first step. Every disagreement this desk has had so far traced back to confusion about which company was holding the reservation, and every one of them ended on the telephone.
Changes to these terms
Revisions carry a fresh date at the head of the page and take effect from it. A booking already in place stays under the version that applied when it was made.
